    OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Graham:

    So Qilin .. how did the S3 backup work?

    I suspect that if you ran it, it's still trying to OCR all 14k documents!

    What is the process here ?

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    It's a tool that is linked to Amazon that a couple of users are testing.

    Is there a URL to read ?

    What is the accuracy ?

    any Zonal OCR ?

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    If there is searchable text inside the pdf, that is extracted.  Otherwise the whole PDF/TIFF is OCR'd.

    No Zonal OCR.

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Got this message (with other db names listed as well) on the server:

    db: "graham"
    {make object! [
        code: 329
        type: 'script
        id: 'bad-bad
        arg1: "ODBC"
        arg2: {[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver
     specified}
        arg3: none
        near: [dbase: open join odbc:// db]
        where: 'forever

    Something wrong here, doesn't seem working for me.  What did I miss?

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    You didn't create the servers.r configuration file as per my docs.

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    I did.

    I have the same ODBC DSN name and database path as your instruction, so I didn't change this line:

    "remr" %/c/emr/server/cache-listener

    Oops .. my fault

    Rename that file to sync-faxboxes.config

    which should work.

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Now I got this:

    Trial version of Sync-FaxBoxes
    Build time:  8-Sep-2009/11:17:23+12:00
    db: "remr"
    {make object! [
        code: 311
        type: 'script
        id: 'invalid-path
        arg1: 'ApproximateNumberOfMessages
        arg2: none
        arg3: none
        near: [inq: to-integer responseobj/ApproximateNumberOfMessages
            if inq
        ]
        where: 'forever
    ]}
    waiting in outer forever loop for 5 mins.

    Still invalid path?

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Just let it run and see if it happens again.  Amazon just announced a change to their API .. I hope that is not the cause.  But I've seen that error one before and it just then goes away.

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Have you setup the queue details in Settings/User/Fax Inbox/SQS Queue?

    Have you started sending files using FaxImport.exe ?

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Updated to v.4 which logs the SQS messages so we can see why you are getting this error.

    Re: OCR, S3 backup questions.

    Does the sync-faxboxes.exe have to be in the same folder as synapse-server?

    Now:

    Build time:  13-Sep-2009/11:44:36+12:00
    db: "remr"
    {make object! [
        code: 329
        type: 'script
        id: 'bad-bad
        arg1: "ODBC"
        arg2: "[ODBC Firebird Driver]unavailable database"
        arg3: none
        near: [dbase: open join odbc:// db]
        where: 'forever
    ]}
    waiting in outer forever loop for 5 mins
