    New scanner from Kodak

Just left the practice and in process of starting my own.  Bought this new scanner from Kodak and love it so far.  Very small footprint, fast enough, does duplex, comes with paperport 11 and omnipage 15.  Minor drawbacks including can't do ID cards and 10 sec warm up time sometimes - very tolerable.  Given it's price at $350, I think it's a great machine for a paperless office.

Nice Find.  You can see how they've borrowed Scan Snap's design.  I like the TWAIN on this vs. the Scan Snap.  Keep us posted.  Thanks for updating this thread.

Kodak has a good name in scanners .. and I see deskewing is inbuilt.

Wonder how it works with Autofile.

In case you didn't know, Autofile is a Synapse utility that will take a scanned image and rename it with the patient's name so it can be autoimported.
