Before Synapse can be successfully deployed to a workstation there needs to a number of things done

1.  Install Firefox and make it the default browser ( Chrome doesn't have the necessary plugins, and Internet Explorer opens too many windows )
2. Install Acrobat Reader 9.2 ( this must be reinstalled if already installed so that the Reader browser plugin is working ).  Foxit does not work.
3. Install 2 Firefox addons - JS Print ( to control the headers and footers when printing ), and Alternatiff ( to allow viewing of Tiff images inside the browser ) 
4. Reboot your PC and make sure all of these work.
5. Turn off all Firefox updates.  An update when you are trying to view or print something is very annoying.  ( Tools/Options/Advanced/Update - and uncheck the top three boxes. )

I don't have Alternatiff installed.  

Yes, faxes come in as TIFFs.
