Just saw this ultramobile PC, windows XP compatible, weighs 0.89 kg (2 pounds), could be perfect for Synapse to run as a client in exam rooms or travel. If anyone has a chance to give it a try, please let us know the results.
I played with one of these ... they're Linux based, but I believe Asus will be bringing out a Windows version.
The screen is quite small vertically so I doubt it will be a good experience.
I could never use Synapse with less than 2 monitors :)
I certainly prefer my Tablet PC, and dual monitor desktop setup in every room :)
A super small Synapse Client ?
it'll pack a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, Windows XP Home Edition, a 10-inch WSVGA (1,024 x 600) display, GMA950 graphics set, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 120GB hard drive, 3-cell battery (sigh...) and a black or white motif. You might expect to just snag one real quick like for $399.

There's not a lot of accuracy in touchscreens unless they're like the tablet pc's which use special pens ....
